IEEE Indian Antenna Week

IEEE Indian Antenna Week Conference is a prestigious event, which is organized in different parts of India on rotation basis every year to boost the dwindling number of Antenna/RF professionals. Previously Antenna weeks were held at places like Puri, Kolkata, Gangtok, Aurangabad, Chandigarh, Ajmeer and Madurai, respectively.

This conference cum workshop is a residential programme which attracts students, faculty members from various academic institutions/engineering colleges, antenna practitioners/researchers, engineers, scientists from R&D organizations and industries and experts. The main objective of this workshop is to bring antenna researchers and practitioners from around the globe from varied institutional settings and with different business cultures on a common platform so as to share and learn from each other. Since it is a residential programme, experts and distinguished academicians and professionals working in various aspects of antenna; analysis, design, fabrication and testing, will share their views, ideas and vision in the conference.

Invited lectures by eminent researchers, tutorials by academic experts and exclusive student research paper presentations are the features of the workshop. In particular, this event provides valuable platform for faculty development for teachers across the country in general and from colleges of the region in particular. This year the event is organised by DIAT, which is located at picturesque location in cultural capital of Maharashtra; PUNE.

Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) (Deemed to be University) is the premium Technological University under the Dept. of Defence R&D / DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, engaged in imparting technical education, in niche areas at PG (M.Tech) & Ph. D levels over the last 60 years into a premier teaching and research institute for the DRDO, Armed Forces, and DPSUs etc, in its various forms & capacities. Department of Electronics Engineering

The department has come a long way since it was established in the year1972.The department has steadily grown from offering short term training programmes to offer M.Tech, MS (By Research) and Ph.D. programmes. The Department of Electronics Engineering currently offers M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering With specialisation in Signal Processing and Communication, Radar and Communication, Defence Electronics Systems, Navigation Systems and Wireless Networks and Applications along with M. S and Ph. D. programmes.

Girinagar, a scenic beautiful place, which is located at a distance of approximate 22 Kms from Pune Railway Station and approximately 30 Kms from the Pune airport, on Pune-Sinhagad-Panshet Road on the south bank of Khadakwasla Lake.
